Whilst each Council has dedicated Procurement staff, we are working together to get the best value for our communities. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for you to join our collaborative strategic procurement team focused on innovation, customer service and community outcomes.We are looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable procurement expert, who is personable, adaptive and is community focused.  They have the ability to communicate effectively, a strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.Your Key responsibilities will include:Ensure Council’s strategic objectives are met by sourcing of best value goods, works and services.Provide professional, strategic, commercial, compliance and operational advice and guidance on procurement matters in accordance with legislation, relevant policies, guidelines and industry standards.Develop, implement and maintain procurement systems, policies, templates and proceduresWork collaboratively to develop a forward procurement plan and to deliver best value tenders and contracts.The successful applicant will ideally possess relevant tertiary qualifications and must have significant experience in a similar position in a diverse organisation. A CIPS certified (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent industry experience would be advantageous, in fields such as purchasing and supply, procurement, business, commerce, or related discipline.This is a Level 7 position which has a current salary range of $106,252 to $112,936 (plus Super).
