The role of Traffic / Transport Planner is responsible for providing support to the Team Leader Transport in the delivery of strategic projects such as the development of an integrated transport plan and other strategic/major transport projects under consideration within the Council area.The City of PAE is rich in history, culture and opportunity. Provide expert advice on major development applications received by Council.Manage contractors for technical and engineering studies.Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the delivery of major transport projects.Assist in the processing, delivery and assessment of NHVR permits requests.The successful applicant will ideally possess:Extensive experience in traffic and transport engineering and management is essential.A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is desirable.Extensive experience in developing transport strategies, pedestrian and cycling plan and policies in transport and parking in local government.Experience in public consultations and community engagement is essential.The successful candidate will have fantastic communication skills coupled with a commitment to positive culture and great time management skills.More information can be found on the Position Description located below.
