The successful candidate will need to be skilled in Cloud computing, networking, communications & all things IT infrastructure, with a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and continuous improvement.Key responsibilities of the position include:Supports the integrity and availability of Council’s IT systems.Engages in the strategy for, and the execution of, the design, procurement, and implementation of the IT network in conjunction with vendors and external advisors, including cloud migration and the management of cloud and hybrid network environments.Designs, deploys, manages, and monitors both cloud and on-premises Windows server infrastructure.Provides technical leadership for a broad range of physical and cloud-based systems, ensuring security standards and controls are maintained to the required tier levels.Responsible for high-level research and analysis of complex network connectivity issues & cloud infrastructure issues and developing resolutions.Leads system administration tasks including permissions settings, system backups, patch management and software deployments.Provides second level support to resolve escalated enquiries and issues such as more complex network interruptions, software conflicts, and hardware malfunctions.Carries out complex network hardware setups, software installations, and updates.Responsible for network and cloud infrastructure monitoring and administration, communicating operations gaps, potentials issues and remediations.The successful applicant will have:Relevant degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar roleRelevant certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, Cisco etc. or thorough knowledge of work activities performed within the work area gained through experience.Current Australian drivers’ licence (Car) is mandatory.Experience in leading or supporting a migration of on-premises systems to cloud based infrastructure.Experience in supporting, maintaining and effectively managing cloud infrastructure (AWS will be highly regarded).Supporting, maintaining and effectively managing networking infrastructure, configurations and communicationsExperience operating in a local government or similarly diverse multi-vendor, multi-site environment.Proven track record of successfully implementing innovative IT solutions.High level skills and knowledge of formal IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, using and managing ticketing systems, remote support tools, and IT asset management solutions.More information can be found on the Position Description located below.This is a Level 6 position which has a current salary range of $109,121 - $116,699 per annum (plus superannuation).Confidential enquiries can be directed to Ben Rosenberg, Team Leader IT Operations ben.rosenberg@cityofpae.sa.gov.au or Matt Strapps, IT Manager matt.strapps@cityofpae.sa.gov.auTo apply, simply complete the application process by clicking the ‘Apply’ button and attach your cover letter and resume.
