It helps protect the community during extreme weather events and contributes to keeping the City clean, safe, and welcoming, enhancing our community’s overall sense of place.Key responsibilities of the position include: Maintains and cares for trees, vegetation, and public spaces across parks, gardens, sporting grounds, and streets.Performs general arboriculture duties, including tree pruning, removals, and maintenance as required.Operates and maintains vehicles, plant, equipment, and tools safely and effectively.Ensures clean, safe worksites, supports traffic management, and responds to urgent maintenance requests.Completes daily documentation and works in compliance with Council policies, procedures, and safety standards.The successful applicant will have: C Class Driver’s license is essentialMR licence is essential. High Risk ticket above 11 metres is desirable.1-2 years minimum experience in a similar position is desirable. Knowledge of Arboriculture practices is highly desirable.More information can be found on the Position Description located below. This is a Grade 1-3 position which has a current salary of $81,678 (plus Super). Confidential enquiries can be directed to Marcus Hannath, Tree Maintenance Team Leader on 0407 837 194 or marcus.hannath@cityofpae.sa.gov.au.
