It also contributes to preserving heritage and natural environments, fostering a safe and vibrant community.Key responsibilities of the position include: Maintains the city’s road, footpath, drainage, and flood-preparation networks.Performs general civil maintenance duties, including loading/unloading trucks and operating plant, equipment, and tools.Drives trucks (up to MR level) and assists with traffic management implementation.Completes daily documentation, inspections, and audits to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.Provides guidance to team members and undertakes moderately complex tasks using established procedures.The successful applicant will have: Cert III or higher in Civil Construction or related field is essential for Grade 3.C Class Driver’s license is essential.MR licence or ability to obtain one is essential.HR Truck Licence is desirable.Highly desirable:Work Zone Traffic Management LicenceConstruction Industry White CardExperience in reading plans and interpretation of Australian design rules.3 - 4 years minimum experience in a similar position is desirable.Civil construction knowledge derived from work experience.Theoretical knowledge derived from qualifications.More information can be found on the Position Description located below. This is a Grade 1-3 position which has a current salary of $81,678 - $85,454 (plus Super) – Depending on qualifications. Confidential enquiries can be directed to Royce Wyld, Road and Signage Maintenance Team Leader on 8405 6621 or royce.wyld@cityofpae.sa.gov.au.
