With a commitment to creating a constructive culture, we are supportive, we take on challenges, seize opportunities, build great relationships and we are proud of what we deliver for our community. The Traffic Engineer Coordinator is a newly created role, responsible for providing support to the Team Leader Transport in the preparation of plans and reports relating to roads, traffic and parking improvements and processing land divisions and development applications. Your Key responsibilities will include:Work as a key member of the Transport TeamDevelop solutions to traffic problems and prepare plans and reports relating to roads, traffic installations and parking proposalsAssist in the management of Local Area Traffic Management schemes from commencement to handover for constructionConsult with residents and businesses about traffic and parking problemsManage contractors for technical and engineering studiesUndertake Task Management and Customer Request Management functions for the Transport team The successful applicant will ideally possess:Experience in traffic and transport engineering and management is essentialA degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is desirableExperience in assessing major Land Divisions and Development Applications in terms of traffic generation and impacts is desirableExperience in public consultations and community engagement is essential The successful candidate will have fantastic communication skills characterised by patience, clarity and accuracy along with an eye for detail and great time management skills. More information can be found on the Position Description located below.  Enquiries can be directed to Satyen Gandhi, Team Leader Transport on 8405 6049 This is a Level 3-5 position which has a current salary range of $71,986 - $90,982 (plus super). For the right cultural fit, we may be willing to consider applicants who are not yet at the required experience level.
