With strategic, authentic, and achievement focused leadership skills, the role supports community members to access quality learning, cultural and recreational opportunities in the City.As a Senior Leader this role will work across the organisation to deliver on Council’s Vision and Strategies, fostering a culture of collaboration.  As a member of the Senior Leadership Group the role will provide enterprise leadership aligned to City of PAE’s values.We provide excellent working conditions with job security, flexible working arrangements and support for professional development.Key responsibilities of the position include:Understanding the contribution public libraries make towards the State Government vision of a ‘healthy, liveable and connected community for all South Australians’ and successfully advocates and shares the library’s role in achieving this aspiration.Providing quality leadership to the team, aligning the Library service to the overall objectives of the City Plan, relevant Strategies and South Australian Public Library network strategic plan ’Tomorrow’s Libraries’.Fostering an environment for continuous improvement and innovation in the Service ensuring the delivery of relevant, effective, best practice library services. Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with industry, businesses, state and federal agenciesWorking collaboratively across the organisation with other senior leaders The successful applicant will have:Ability to develop a shared vision and work collaboratively to co-design strategies aligned with Council’s priorities. High emotional intelligence, ability to appreciate diversity and difference, with values which align to the public sector.
